Meredith Salenger
Salenger has a family in Malibu. When she was a kid, she loved acting in front of family and friends. Her mother took her to her first class in acting when she was eight years old. In John Huston's film Annie in which she was a tiny role where she was identified as an "singing and dance orphan". Salenger did several television ads. Salenger's first starring role was part of The Disney production The Journey of Natty Gann costarring John Cusack and Ray Wise and was the very first US film to receive the coveted gold prize at the Moscow Film Festival. It also won her "Best actress in a Drama" during the Youth in Film Awards for her performance as the sexy Natty Gann. When she was 18 she also acted in four films, including A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. In the following years, she relocated to Harvard for the purpose of continuing her education.
